University of Nebraska-Lincoln, College of Engineering Master Plan

University of Nebraska-Lincoln, College of Engineering Master Plan

Clark & Enersen completed the master plan for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s (UNL) College of Engineering. The Engineering College is one of the largest programs in the state university system and features ten major departments facilities spread across three campuses. The main city campus of Lincoln is home to the college’s flagship facility, which occupies eight acres of land.

The building is comprised of several structures that have been built up over time. Those efforts began in 1931, and the last major addition was constructed in 2003. Clark & Enersen was hired to help build a roadmap for the College of Engineering, including the need to address aging facilities and consider potential new construction to support the University’s plans for future growth.

The master plan provided:

  • A detailed analysis of existing facilities, and a strategy for major renovations.
  • Comprehensive program study to accommodate future growth.
  • Plan for a major new building on an adjacent site.
