Clark & Enersen was selected to complete an elementary school addition and renovation for North Bend Central Public Schools. Portions of demolition and construction for the project were completed during the school year, which required the development of an occupied, phased renovation plan to ensure the facility would remain operational. This effort consisted of three projects: Project A – Exterior Window and Door Replacement; Project B – Finish Upgrades; and Project C – HVAC Improvements.

Our team designed exterior windows and doors that enhanced views throughout the school and provided safe and secure access for students, teachers, and staff. We also provided multiple furnishing options, including, but not limited to, student seating, cafeteria tables, desks, mobile storage cabinets, bookcases, and cubby storage. We then developed conceptual floor layouts for multiple classrooms, which were presented to stakeholders. Our mechanical engineers also presented multiple HVAC options for the School Board and stakeholders, with an emphasis on highly-efficient and maintainable systems.

Through this highly collaborative process, our team was able to provide updated cafeteria seating, enhanced classrooms and learning spaces, and general furnishing upgrades that helped to modernize the school.
