St. Michael Catholic School, Master Plan and Implementation

St. Michael Catholic School, Master Plan and Implementation

St. Michael Catholic Church was seeking a master plan for future phase development to expand existing church and school facilities. Clark & Enersen helped organize and facilitate parish input sessions to determine the wants and needs of parishioners. Discussions were further refined to build parish consensus around an aesthetic and financial vision resulting in priorities of additional classroom space, a church expansion, and debt reduction. We worked with the parish building committee to develop and present multiple options for future phases of construction. A master plan, including conceptual renderings of interior and exterior spaces, was created and used to assist in fundraising efforts.

Following the completion of the master plan, Clark & Enersen worked with another architecture firm to design the new church and school addition. Our team was responsible for the design of the school and site design, as well as the mechanical, electrical, and lighting for the entire addition including the church. Several lighting concepts were explored during the design process, with the final design allowing flexibility during Mass, adoration, and special services. The lighting was also designed to add focus to the altar, pulpit, statues, and artwork that will be installed in the church.
