Clark & Enersen completed renovation work to create the new Great Plains Culinary and Hospitality Institute for Southeast Community College’s 84th Street campus in Lincoln. Recently opened, it provides culinary students and faculty with a modern teaching environment. The renovation included the addition of:
- Course, an upscale fine-dining restaurant open to the community.
- Two culinary teaching labs.
- A demonstration classroom.
- A bakery teaching lab.
The new space allows culinary students to be taught in a realistic learning environment, with the demonstration kitchen acting as the classroom. The production kitchen provides culinary students the opportunity to work in a real-world environment and serves the restaurant with a full dining room. Students and the public are able to dine and enjoy meals prepared by SCC culinary students.
