Plaza on the Green, Runza Corporate Headquarters
Runza Restaurants®, a regional restaurant chain, selected us to design their new corporate headquarters. As Runza began to outgrow the previous headquarters space they occupied for the past 30 years, their owners decided to look toward the future and build on a new site for the next generation. Stakeholders shared their goals and vision with our design team, and it became evident they wanted a place or site where they could design their own building that represented their identity of delivering high-quality products.
After investigating various sites in southeast Lincoln and working through our site analysis selection process, Runza chose the Plaza on the Green development in the Firethorn area. The five-acre site is located on a rare office-zoned lot on Firethorn’s executive golf course, and the development offers a prestigious office location with modern, high-efficiency architecture and lush natural surroundings.
Runza occupies 15,000 square feet on the top floor of this three-level, 54,000-square-foot office building with plans to lease the remaining space to other professionals looking for an elegant location in Lincoln. A 1,300-square-foot conference room and underground parking is available to all tenants.
The Runza Corporate Headquarters includes a combination of an open work environment with few enclosed offices, multiple workstation typologies, mother’s room, shower facilities, office central “family room” for casual meetings and collaboration, abundance of natural light with magnificent views, commercial test kitchen, expandable conference rooms for training, and rooftop patio space.
