Lancaster County, Courtroom
Clark & Enersen completed a renovation to the 2nd floor of the Lancaster County Hall of Justice that repurposed general office space into a new County Courtroom. Our team also created a judge’s chamber, judge’s reception area, and offices for the court stenographer, sheriff’s department, and county corrections.
The new court is a single panel jury courtroom. It features full video telecommunications for all judicial procedures, including arraignments. The courtroom is directly connected to an existing secure corridor system within the building. Electronic security systems were designed to meet the Center for State Courts’ design requirements.
Our design provided a layering of secure spaces, from public to private. We also repurposed several elements of the existing building in our design.
