Colorado State University, College of Engineering Master Plan and Facilities Assessment
The Colorado State University College of Engineering is comprised of six departments located in 14 primary and 22 secondary facilities. Because of strong programs and a world-renowned faculty, the College has projected an increased student enrollment in the coming decade. In order to accommodate this growth in a planned and strategic manner, the College selected our firm to develop a master plan that targets addressing the need for additional space. The master plan identified important programmatic relationships between College functions in disparate locations, pinpointed areas of underutilization, and projected opportunities for facility expansion and replacement.
This analysis was completed in the context of several primary goals that included empowering growth, creating spaces for community and culture to aid in recruitment and retention, making research visible, and prioritizing needs. Our firm led the master plan effort that included high-level facility assessments, future space need projections, and phasing considerations.
