Phil Walter Elected as an I2SL Colorado Chapter Board Director
Principal and Architectural Engineer Phil Walter, PE, LEED AP, has been elected as a director on the board of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) Colorado Chapter. I2SL is dedicated to advancing the safety and sustainability of laboratories, data centers, and other high-tech facilities around the world. The Colorado Chapter holds quarterly and annual meetings where members gather to discuss trending topics, tour completed projects, and find ways to advance the industry.
“It’s an honor to be named a director on the board for the I2SL Colorado Chapter,” said Phil. “The mission and vision of the organization aligns directly with Clark & Enersen’s design philosophy to promote sustainability, safety, and innovation. I look forward to serving in this new role as well as to continue learning and sharing new ideas with my fellow I2SL members.”
Phil is a graduate of Kansas State University, and began his career at Clark & Enersen in our Lincoln, Neb., office. He later moved to our Kansas City office to help develop and expand our engineering team and then had a pivotal role in establishing our Fort Collins office in 2018. He is also a part of our dedicated Science and Technology team that has completed more than $5 billion worth of teaching and research laboratory spaces in the last seven years alone.
Phil has served as principal-in-charge, project manager, or architectural/electrical engineer for a wide range of projects across the Front Range and Midwest. Clients include Colorado State University, the City of Fort Collins, the University of Colorado Boulder, the Colorado Department of Health and Environment, Nelnet, South Dakota State University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Farm Credit Services of America, Missouri S&T, Kansas State University, and Johnson County Community College, among numerous others.
