“Clark & Enersen 75” History Book Wins AAF Nebraska American Advertising Award
Clark & Enersen recently received a 2022 American Advertising Award (ADDY) from AAF Nebraska in the Collateral Material – Book Design category for our “Clark & Enersen 75” history book. Lead Graphic Designer and Brand Coordinator Kendra Kottmeyer and Marketing Writer Josh Compton, representing the history book task force and our firm, attended an awards banquet on February 18th at The Farnam Hotel in Omaha, Nebraska.
The book was one of 438 entries submitted by 46 advertising agencies, companies, and in-house marketing teams for Creative Nebraska. The judges panel consisted of art directors, creative directors, strategic planners, and copywriters from Atlanta, Ga.; Madison, Wis.; Miami, Fla.; Los Angeles, Calif.; and Longmont, Colo.
“Clark & Enersen 75” was a substantial undertaking completed almost entirely in-house over the course of two years. During its development, a dedicated team conducted in-depth interviews; searched old blueprints, documents, and photographs; spoke with people who worked and interacted with our firm; and uncovered never-before-shared artifacts and anecdotes that gave us an even deeper understanding of our firm and our culture. The result is a 268-page encapsulation of the firm’s history.
“We are thankful to the American Advertising Federation and the judges panel for honoring our history book with this award,” says Principal and Architect Kate Hier, AIA, NCARB, WELL AP, who served as chair of the history book task force. “Our firm is always humbled to receive recognition for our design work, but this award highlights the depth of talent that exists throughout the entire firm. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to dig deep into our firm’s past and gain insight into our future as well.”
